Syrian Legal Counsel for International Clients
A clear engagement process helps international clients manage Syrian legal work efficiently, protect confidentiality and coordinate decisions across languages and jurisdictions.
Tell us about your projectInitial contact and conflict check
Send only a concise description of the parties, the general subject and any urgent deadline at first contact. We check potential conflicts before requesting detailed or confidential documents. Contacting the firm does not by itself create a lawyer-client relationship.
Scope, fees and responsibilities
Once the matter can be considered, we define the requested work, assumptions, deliverables, client contacts, responsibilities, estimated fees and any excluded tasks. Work begins only after the engagement terms and required authority are confirmed.
Foreign documents, legalisation and translation
Corporate records, powers of attorney, judgments, awards and IP documents may require certified copies, legalisation and Arabic translation. The required chain depends on the issuing country and intended Syrian procedure, so requirements should be confirmed before documents are processed.
Working with foreign counsel
We can coordinate with a company legal department or external law firm, provide focused Syrian-law input, identify procedural requirements and report progress in Arabic, English or French.
Confidentiality and secure communication
Do not send sensitive evidence, trade secrets or complete transaction files through an unconfirmed channel. After the conflict check and scope confirmation, the appropriate document-transfer and communication process can be agreed.
Sanctions and compliance coordination
International clients remain responsible for their own applicable sanctions, export-control, banking and internal compliance obligations. Syrian legal advice should be coordinated with any required advice in the client’s home or payment jurisdictions.
